When Is the best time of year to get married in Seattle?
Navigating the optimal time for a Seattle wedding presents a challenge! Although, truthfully, it’s quite straightforward—you have the flexibility to choose any time. If dodging rain is a priority, as it is for many, the late summer months from mid-July to early September offer the driest conditions. However, if you’re inclined to embrace the snow or other weather elements, December to late February presents a unique charm. The summer season remains the preferred choice for most couples, given the flexibility for vacation and Seattle’s allure as a destination for friends and family to witness your nuptials amidst a memorable summer getaway.

One of the most unique venues in all of Seattle is the MV Skansonia. Up in the Docks located in the U District on Lake Union is this permanently docked old ferry that was build in 1929 and retains all of that old school charm. The view is one of the best you can get on Lake Union with a sweeping cityscape behind you during your ceremony. One of the many great venues owned by Landmark Events.

Kingston House
Alright alright I already hear the rebuttal “this isn’t in Seattle”. Yes, however I think the Kingston House deserves a place on this list! I actually grew up right down the street from this amazing wedding venue, back home in Kingston. They have the most amazing lavender fields in the summer time when they’re in bloom. And have quite a few amazing views for you to pick from for backdrops during the ceremony. You and your wedding party can also stay at the Kingston house leading up to the wedding, which is a great bit of added fun in your wedding days leading up to. This one has a special place in my heart.

Fox Hollow Farm
Another venue that’s owned and operated by Landmark Events. This place is a magical experience the first time you enter. You’re treated by a large, modern home located right next to a calming creek which is a beautiful addition to your ceremony or cocktail hour. The space is much larger than you might first assume, but this is the venue that also supports their farm-to-fork catering mindset! and the food is always delicious, trust me. a Short 30 minute drive ti Issaquah is worth it for this spectacular venue.

Crystal Mountain Resort
Now this is a special one for me. As a longtime Snowboarder I have spent quite a few of my weekends at crystal. But did you know they also have weddings? now you do! If you were looking for the best view of the mountains you could possibly imagine, this might take the cake. Your guests will have a view of the mountains on their gondola ride up to the top, where you will have Mount Rainer right behind you while you tell your boo how much they mean to you. If you want the feeling of an adventurous outdoor wedding without putting too much on your guests for their wedding, this is the spot I would absolutely lean towards.
