This was the first time I had The Ruins wedding, and it was truly awesome. This space that use to host exclusive dinner parties, get togethers, and other shenanigans I can only imagine, has since been converted to a full wedding venue. Owned by landmark events, the ruins wedding space has a superb vibe for all my alternative couples who want a space that feels unique and fun. Tuuli and Dylan fit the description to a T, and their wedding was fucking amazing.

Making Time for Friends

Nowadays, I notice more couples prioritizing what truly matters: quality time together over wedding day formalities. When Tuuli & Dylan planned their celebration, they intentionally broke free from traditional timeline constraints. Instead of following the usual script with first dances and lengthy portrait sessions, they created space for genuine fun with their friends. While I often emphasize this point in my wedding blogs, it bears repeating: embrace what feels authentic to you. Your wedding day should reflect your values, not societal expectations. A Beautiful Space to have a Rager

The Ruins captivates everyone with its ornate, beautiful walls in the ceremony space. Moreover, watching ceremonies unfold in this stunning setting takes my breath away every time. As I explored the venue, I discovered countless hidden details throughout the space, along with perfect spots for capturing portraits. Unlike many venues where getting ready rooms feel like an afterthought, The Ruins offers thoughtfully designed preparation spaces. After falling in love with this venue’s charm, I’m already looking forward to my next wedding there.

Film Film Film

There’s something magical about capturing weddings on film! Furthermore, I love reminding couples about film’s timeless appeal and the nostalgia it creates. If you grew up before 2005, chances are you’ve spent hours flipping through family albums filled with film photographs. Because of my deep appreciation for film photography, I bring my classic point-and-shoot camera to capture those authentic party moments. Ultimately, nothing quite matches film’s ability to preserve those beautifully imperfect wedding day memories that you’ll treasure forever.
